Objective:

The goal of The Fight Card Game is to predict how a fighter will win their match based on the outcomes you draw from the deck of fight cards. Each player will choose a card, and the winner of the game is determined by the official result of the match.

Game Setup:

  1. Shuffle the Cards: Shuffle the deck and place it face down.
  2. Card Draw: Each player selects one card. Depending on the number of players, multiple cards can be chosen if there are enough cards available.
  3. Card Meaning: The card you draw will specify how you win the game (based on the actual match outcome) and whether you are rooting for the Red or Blue corner (indicated by the card color). The tape on the fighters’ gloves will tell you which corner is which.
  4. Team Setup: If you have more players than cards, form teams. Be creative with team names and post a picture on social media!

Card Breakdown:

  • Red and Blue Cards: There are two cards for each type of victory—one for the Red corner and one for the Blue corner, except for the Draw card, which is a single black card.
  • Special Cards: Some cards apply to specific match types (e.g., MMA, Boxing, Kickboxing, or Jiu-Jitsu).
  • If you have more players than cards, divide the group into teams and assign a team captain.

Game Rules & Interpretation:

  • Draw or Disqualification: If a Draw or Disqualification occurs, players can choose one of the following:
    • Scrub the Game: If you’re playing with 8 players and a draw or disqualification happens, you can decide to “scrub” the game and move to the next match.
    • Draw: If there is a draw, both Decision card holders win.
    • Disqualification: If a fighter is disqualified, the player holding the Decision card for the fighter who was not disqualified wins.
  • Referee Announcements: Always wait for the referee to make the official announcement. For example:
    • If a fighter taps during a choke, but the referee announces “Rear Naked Choke” as the winner, then the Choke Out card holder wins.
